After a brief immersion in fan subculture behavior, I determined the best way to resonate with existing fans was to lean into the practice of "fanvid" creation. We created a chatbot, where fans used FB Messenger to converse with Nomi Marks, the show’s transgender hacktivist character. Based on their convo, fans received a custom fanvid featuring their favorite Sense8 themes and characters.
I’m very proud that this piece won a Shorty Award for best LGBT community content.
